Tampering or theft of mail is a federal offense and should be reported to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department and the United States Postal Service. Mountain House is an unincorporated area of San Joaquin County with roughly 5,000 homes and 17,000 residents as of 2016. Residents must use the neighboring City of Tracy Post Office for full postal services. Mountain House is currently working with the United States Postal Service to obtain a zip code and a post office in Mountain House.

The picture below is specific to the cluster box requirements within Mountain House. Per the Master Restrictions section 4.05, Paragraph R, the MHCSD Review Entity has the authority to approve alteration to mailboxes.

No changes to the new style “cluster boxes” can be made except for damage repair or individual lock changes, which would be requested via the USPS postmaster.
